Pickup from your Arusha hotel at 7:30 AM. Drive 2.5 hours to Tarangire — famous for vast elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Full afternoon game drive along the Tarangire River, prime hunting ground for lions and leopards. Sunset return to your tented camp.
Early morning game drive in Tarangire before transferring to Karatu via Mto wa Mbu. Optional cultural visit to a Maasai boma. Afternoon arrival at your lodge perched on the Ngorongoro Crater rim — cocktails at sunset overlooking the caldera.
Pre-dawn descent into the Ngorongoro Crater — Africa's "Garden of Eden." Spend the morning tracking lions, rhinos, elephants, hippos and flamingos in this 260 km² caldera. Picnic lunch at Ngoitokitok Spring before ascending and returning to Arusha by 6 PM.
